10 Filipino Visual Artists You Should Know

There's always exposure for national artists in the Philippines who are aged older than at least 30, and most of their artworks are installed in the most prestigious institutions and museums. But do we give enough appreciation for our young local artists in the community?

Search up "young filipino visual artists" and you get about just a good one page of results from Google.

Thus, here are ten young Filipino visual artists who have shared their artworks in the online world (mostly Instagram), who I think deserve a great deal amount of attention not just from the Filipino youth, but even from adults who appreciate art at its modernity.

Note: Artists displayed in this page were randomly ordered.

1. Pancho Karambola [ @pancho_karambola ]

2. Deborah Tudtud [ @debtudtud ]

3. Issel de Leon [ @easelandthelion ]

4. Marya [ @mahgellan ]

5. Claude Aranza [ @cmrnza ]

6. Cassykicks [ @cassykicks ]

7. Mia Lagos [ @mialags ]

8. Isabelle Aldana [ @sabella.draws ]

9. Raffy [ @_raffyb ]

10. Kita [ @keeshuuu ]

The commonalities among all the artworks above is that most are created digitally. As it it the digital age, evidently, artists of this generation have taken advantage of technological media to create their pieces. Another common theme to them is the use of vibrant palettes and energetic settings. Their differences are in their art style, as of course, no two real artists have the same exact style. Despite all that, all the artworks shown above display great artistry and creativity.
